Assignment 6

 Humanity is a mortal race native in Diablo 3. The descendants of the nephalem, humanity has been the focal point of the ongoing war between Heaven and Hell in Diablo 3.


According to the story in the game, humans are mortal and upon death, their souls enter a location beyond the reach of angels or demons. They claim that humans are half angel and half demon, the two components of a human's soul are integral to their existence. Humans possess the ability to choose between good and evil, an ability that causes many angels to fear mankind.

This reveals the universal theme of judgement.



Humans and demons are capable of interbreeding. Few children of such couplings survive childbirth, and fewer survive into adulthood, as they are generally killed by those who know them for what they are. Demons can possess humans. Humans are also capable of breeding with nephalem. As with angels and demons, human blood carries Essence.

This reveals the universal themes of peace/war and good/evil.



Human eyesight is inferior to that of angels in most respects. They also have a short life expectancy.



In Diablo III, the protagonists are referred to as the Nephalem. Most humans encountered are friendly and neutral towards the player characters.
